We’re looking for a Director of Business Development (US) in our Edmonton office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Manage sales team, business partners, and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Act as a key contact with partner labs
  • Work with marketing team to devise marketing materials and tools to support sales
  • Refine value concepts to support product uptake and market access
  • Work with scientific and medical team to understand and develop the market opportunities
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions with the team

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years sales management experience
  • Successful experience building go-to-market strategies and corporate sales plans

KMT Hepatech - Technologist

KMT Hepatech, Inc., a member of PhoenixBio Group, provides in vivo research services to companies who are in development of Hepatitis C (HCV), Hepatitis B (HBV), and Malaria therapeutics and vaccines, as well as studies of toxicity, drug and lipoprotein metabolism.

KMT Hepatech Inc. has an immediate opening for an animal technologist focusing on PXBcell preparation. This individual will perform hepatocyte isolations and preparations of PXBcells (human hepatocytes). This person would also assist with colony maintenance and husbandry activities as well as provide technical support for experimental studies, on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in small animal surgical procedures, care and handling, as well as ongoing or completed formal education in a related field.

Previous experience with cell preparation and culture is a definite asset. This individual must be able to work with minimal supervision according to Standard Operating Procedures, maintain accurate and reliable records, and will be organized and reliable.

This is a full-time position, located in Edmonton, Alberta and the salary range is commensurate with experience and education. Off hours and weekend rotation may be required.

KMT Hepatech - Senior Technologist

As a production technician you will be primarily responsible and accountable for running the production line and maintaining, validating and ensuring production equipment is in compliance with GMP/HACCP/ISO. You will also analyze samples with titration and HPLC and ensure all SOPs are adhered to and documentation kept;  and also engage in problem solving as warranted.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or diploma in either Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Chemical Technology

  • Basic analytical techniques and knowledge on HPLC/titration

  • Excellent logical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Competent, self-motivated individual able to work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for running production line

  • Report directly to Production Supervisor

  • Analyze samples with titration and HPLC

  • Calibrate, maintain and validate production equipment to ensure it is in state of GMP/HACCP/ISO compliance at all times of production

  • Ensure SOPs and production safety protocols are strictly followed

  • Troubleshoot in production processes

  • Keep complete and accurate documentation

The Maintenance Millwright will primarily be responsible and accountable for the mechanical maintenance of the machines and equipment. As a maintenance millwright you will install, maintain, dismantle and overhaul machinery as required.
